Dear Members

Good Day.

Requesting to please guide me about thermit welding. We have a job to complete using thermit welding.

Iron rod of 19mm which is to be jointed by thermit welding (joint by melting).

I understand and also have Iron Oxide - Red (99% pure) which will be 78%

and for Aluminum Dust Powder - 22%.

PLEASE GUIDE ME ABOUT ALUMINIUM DUST POWDER ??

WHAT MATERIAL IS THIS AND WHAT WE SAY THIS COMMONLY; IS THAT ALSO CALLED SILVER SCRAP POWDER OR SOMETHING ELSE.

A welding forum (such as r/welding on reddit) could answer your question. I've ignited thermite but not professionally and am not expert. Railroads use thermite welding. I recommend you find someone experienced with the right equipment for your job. As far as I know, the only material in aluminum dust powder is aluminum.
