Hi there,

I hope you all are fine and doing great.

I need assistance in designing/rating the orifice meter for gas flow metering. Please can anyone provide me orifice calculations (.xls) file or any literature for that.

Thanks.

HI,

Consider the resources attached.

I believe you can develop your own spreadsheet with the document underneath.

CheCalc ‐ Instrument

Edit: You may want to purchase Flow of Fluids through valves, fittings and technical paper N 410M from Crane

It will last for your entire engineering career.

engineer24, I second everything in breizh's reply!  Also, I want to share with you, and everyone here, a link to R. G. Cunningham's classic (1951) technical article from Transactions of the ASME.  At the link's location, the article is downloadable. This article made me, and many others, aware that "thin plate orifices do not choke".  For me, it was epiphany-like.

Anyone, I can no longer access Dennis Kirk Engineering's webpage at members.ozemail.com.au/~denniskb/.  members.ozemail.com.au is still operating, so it must be something with Dennis's webpage.  Any advice?
