I am trying to simulate a column in which the reaction and phase transition occurs in alternate trays of a single column. Initially, I was trying to use Radfrac column using rate based and equilibrium based modelling. However, I think it is not working in the right direction.

I have tried a PFR for the isotopic reaction and an absorber column following that PFR. In which water is flowing downwards and the product stream containing HDO and H2 is going upward. However, the product HDO in liquid form is in the order of 10^-20, which is highly insignificant.

I want to simulate the separation of hydrogen isotope using water/hydrogen reaction system.

Please advise, How should I proceed. Thanks.
