I read somewhere that the stratified flow regime is preferred. What is the reason for this?

Hi,
Consider reading these papers, many more using your favorite search engine.
Note: I don't understand your query.

Is my question clear now?

You only need to avoid slug flow where possible. Otherwise size piping to velocity or pressure drop criteria.

Hi,
Another document to read.
I second Bobby:"avoid slug flow where possible".
Probably good to visualize the different patterns using your favorite search engine.

Thank you so much for your answers!
I have very limited experience with 2 phase flows.
I will read through your document Breizh!

You can find software at my website to calculate two-phase pressure drop and flow regime.

Hi,
Let you study this material about pressure drop. It helped me to develop spreadsheet.
Good luck

Hi,
For those interested with fluid dynamic, single and multiple phases, you will find attached 2 books (free download).
Enjoy the reading.

Hi everyone!
I read somewhere that the stratified flow regime is preferred. What is the reason for this?
There is some context to this statement, stratified flow is preferred in a feed line to a phase separator, reason is easier separation.
