Hello Community,

I hope you all are fine and great work in your field.

My question is,

In naphtha hydrotreater, we can calculate LHSV at specified gas flow rate and feed flow rate. As LHSV is ratio of volume of charger per hour to volume of catalyst. SRN is processed at 4 - 12 LHSV.

Now for daily changes in the LHSV, inlet temperature on the naphtha hydrotreating reactor may be adjusted according to the equation below:

T2 = T1 - 45 ln (LHSV1) / (LHSV2)

Here temperature is in F. T1 is required inlet reactor temperature at (LHSV1). T2 is the required inlet reactor temperature at (LHSV2).

Is there is any relation between LHSV and reactor inlet temperature ? According to LHSV formula there is no any temperature term.
