Hi,

I hope you are well. I am designing a double column cryogenic distillation unit to produce high purity nitrogen gas. My air composition includes nitrogen, oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide, water vapour and traces of THC’s. I am struggling with starting my simulation on Aspen plus as there is no option to model an adsorption column to remove the CO2, H2O and THC’s. How should I go about this? What units should I include in order to optimise my design making it cost effective and energy efficient. I also was wondering how I would go about sizing both distillation columns, please do let me know and if there are any resources which would help.

Hi,

Check for PSA (pressure swing adsorption).

more information using your favorite search engine, keys words  Air cryogenic distillation aspen +

I am hoping to go with cryogenic distillation over PSA, how can I simulate an adsorber on Aspen plus
