Hello,

I am designing a simple distillation column and am trying to calculate a column diameter estimate. Research shows that the choice of packing or trays is based on column diameter but all equations I have found for column diameter are based on the use of trays or packing. So, how do I get an equation for the diameter? I think I am leaning towards the use of trays.
