Hello,

 

In Kern's Process Heat Transfer and TEMA Standards, calculation procedures of caloric temperature for heat exchangers having cocurrent and countercurrent flow arrangments are available. However, I need to calculate it for a 1 shell-side pass, 2 tube-side passes shell and tube heat exchanger. Can somebody give me the calculation procedure for other types of flow arrangements?

Do you have any idea how HTRI calculates LMTD correction factor? Actually I want to calculate MTD and DELTA in the following formula used in HTRI: EMTD = (MTD) * (DELTA) * (F/G/H)

Hi,

I cannot support, not having simulator but if you google "EMTD = (MTD) * (DELTA) * (F/G/H)" you will be surprised.
