A few people have reported over the last while that the Start New Topic button does not work for them. If the Start New Topic button doesn't work consistently for you, please reply with:

• Does it happen on PC, mobile, or both?
• If you clear cache memory, cookies, and history, does it or doesn't it work?
• What browser are you using?
• If you have multiple browsers, which browser does it work on, and which browser does it not work on?
• What OS are you using?
• Any other ideas?

I just tried 'start new topic' button on my PC on both Chrome and Brave browsers and the button is dead to me. I am still using Windows 7.

Thanks, Pilesar, I added OS to the OP.

I use Chrome and Edge and have Windows 10 or higher, and the Start New Topic button works fine for me.

I did not get the button to work for me on Windows 10 computer. I suggest you make a non-admin dummy account for yourself to test. I can't do much testing as I am in the midst of installing new network hardware.

THAT Start New Topic button on the "Welcome back" page, circled in red, does not work for me either.  It seems out of place really.  No specific forum is selected, so where does it know to start a new topic.  It doesn't.  That's a little strange.

 

But, if I go to a specific forum, the Start New Topic button there works fine for me

 

Is this what others are finding?
