Hi,
I was hoping someone could shed some light on whether or not there are calculation procedures for Hg removal using molecular sieves. I know UOP has the HgSIV technology which can be used in conjunction of a dehydrating molecular sieve for natural gas. However, information in regards to calculation procedures on how effective the sieves are in removing Hg seems to be difficult to find.
Perhaps more fundamnetally, I was also wondering is this common practice in natural gas processing? That is, to use molecular sieves to dehydrate and removal mercury simultaneously, given the concentration of both water and mercury are low?
Regards,
Dave
