We would like to install an H2S analyzer at the inlet of H2S gas stream so we can control the amount of amine needed to scrub the H2S. With this analyzer, we can keep the amount of unscrubbed H2S at a 1 mol% concentration. Afterwards, I talked to a senior engineer regarding this matter. He recommends that having 2 analyzers, at the inlet and outlet, can actually reduce the amount of H2S to 1,000 ppm.

How does this work? Can someone please help me?
