Dear Sir
i'm searching for information about "how to minimize the vapor escape from storage tank with floating roof when storing light hydrocarbon fluid with boiling range 25 - 135 deg Celsius, the ambient temps are about 10-20 deg C in winter and 25-40 deg C in summer? do you know about using nitrogen blanket above the floating roof & recycling the vapors to process or to flare system?
Thank you in advance

You might consider a vapor recovery system. There are two primary types:

(1) Vapor compression, condensation and recycle: contact www.hy-bon.com
(2) Direct condensation by using refrigeration, and then followed by recycle: contact www.edwards-eng.com

You might also look at an adsorption-desorption system: contact www.johnzink.com

I hope this helps you.

Ariek,
Vapour recovery from floating roof tanks are possible if it is an internal floating roof tank. The vapour line can be routed to a vapour recovery system or flare. If the tank is an external floating roof tank, other methods like better sealing between the roof and tank shell can be thought of.

Benoy
