Dear All,
I am new in tank blanketig.

I have to prepare a project - nitrogen blanketing for some tanks with auto fuels.
Can you indicate me some references, documents, books, application examples, etc. that I can find online about this subject?

We will use nitrogen generators (permeable membrane).
Besides the valves for mantaining the preset positive pressure, I want to include an alarm system for monitoring the oxygen concentration in the nigrogen balnket (inside the tank).

Since the vapours are flamable I need a sensor with EEx specs, zone 0.

Can you make some recomandations?

Thank you.

You have not given us much information as to your situation, but you seem to have no background in the subject either. We couldn't answer your questions about the method without more details.

As to the basic mechanics of the blanketing operation I suggest that you search these forums as much has been written about this and is available to you. Also, you will find information on my site, www.ostand.com. These sources should answer your questions and possibly even present new questions for you to ask. Actual sizing is presented in API2000 and you should obtain that document.

I leave the question about the O2 sensor to our other members to respond to.
