I have a stupid question, but too difficult for me:
A room volume V filled with air (80%N2, 20% O2). there are n air volume changes per hour for that room. There is a release of N2 in that room say q (m3/h) in to the room.
I want to find the formula for the concentration C of O2 in the room for variying room sizes and varying N2 flowing in the room and different time.
If the room contains 100% of N2, how to calculate the O2 concentration on a time t when starting the ventilation. Is there any formula?
I get crazzy of this question? Can you help?

Hi Bart
Can you please state your problem clearly. Wht do u mean by realse of N2 in that room?? Is you are talking abt purging of your room with N2 means are you going to remove same amount of resultant mixture? if thats the case you can assume that room behaves as if like a perfect mixer and then just start doing a unstady material balance, you will get answer. If you are talking like at stady state it will be only N2 in the room.
