Hello,

We operate an NGL fractionation plant that has an ADIP system to treat our Propane product. We have three trains and two of them have been running for more than 25 years, and the third one is relatively new, it's been running for about 17 years.

In the last two years, a series of tube failures in the ADIP Regenerator Reboilers has happened. All of the three reboilers failed in the last two years. We have studied everything we could, but we failed to reach a solid conclusion. However, there is general consensus that the ADIP Filtration is not doing its job.

Based on this, we decided to upgrade our filters, and that's why I'm here.

I would really appreciate it if someone could share with me and the rest of the group their experience with ADIP filtration.

What are we looking at?
Do you have a monitoring program for your ADIP?
If so, what do you look for? And what are your targets for your tests?
Do we need to treat the whole regenerated ADIP? Because we only filter about 10% of the regenerated ADIP, i.e. the Regenerator bottoms.
Any other information?
Note: the ADIP solution is prepared in an atmospheric system that has vents that are always open.

Thank you,
