Hi Everybody,

Can Anybody tell me the Power failure relief Load Calculation in Power Failure scenario case if relief Valve is located in Distillation Tower.

Which important Point should be considered for this case?

Please give me detail About this , if anybody have any calculation..

Thank you.

The following possible scenarios shall be considered in analyzing a power failure situation:
- Local power failure, such as a motor for a pump or compressor, or fan for an air cooler (For example, the failure of a reflux pump will affect cooling of the overhead vapor, and the column will relieve under a loss of cooling scenario. See http://www.cheresour...php/t2937.html)
- Failure of a distribution center, such as a particular MCC in the production area
- Total power failure, where all electrically operated equipment will be affected (including those in the site cooling water system or steam supply system).

The relevant codes, regulations, standards and company policy guidelines must be followed.
