What are the considerations for sizing of air receiver in discharge of reciprocating compressor.

Firstly you have to calculate air consumption calculation, there will be two types of service continuous and intermittant. the minimum load you need to take into consideration for sizing the air receiver is continuous air consumption.

The next you have to assume the residence time considering the possibility of requirement of residence time, generally 5min normal practice, however it depends on the requirement.
