Dear forum members,

I have to design an Air saturation column, which will saturate the atmospheric air.

Following are the details for the inlet air to the column:

Air flow rate : 11,000 m3/hr
Dry bulb temp. of incoming air : 10-40 deg C
Pressure : Atmospheric
Inlet Relative Humidity : 21 to 87 %

Following are the details for the inlet water stream to the column:

Water flow rate : to be calculated
Water temp. : 30 deg C

I would like to know how much packed height (type of packing is 3" Cascade Mini Ring (CMR), with PP as the MOC) should be provided in order to saturate the air upto 100%.

Best Regards,
amaity

Amaity,

There is a free spreadsheet on the cheresources free software page titled "Packed Column Scrubber Design" which will help you to do packed column calculations. Why don't you check it out for your suitability?

Regards,
Ankur.
