Hi Colleagues.
I have a problem obtaining a quotation for a blower for a catalyst regeneration unit for a petrochemical plant.
The data sheet specifies Inconel 600 material for impeller, operating at 507°C @3000 rpm. Vendor says that impeller's tip speed is too high for the Inconel 600.

Does anyone have experience in the selection of this type of blowers? I think that the inconel 600 is fine.
Are there any vendor that can offer me a suitable blowers?

I'll appreciate your help

Thanks
Martin

Martin,
The above quote makes no sense at all to me. It leaves me to question the qualifications of this vendor. You might want to ask him why the tip speed is too high and would it still be too high for stainless steel. Is he suggesting that you're exceeding the strength of the material? Again, that makes no sense. Probably my best suggestion would be to find someone more knowledgable to talk to.

Thanks Djack.
I think that this vendor can't get the required material.
Talking to him he said me that the tip speed at 3000rpm will rise to 160m/s, therefore, the impeller diameter is 50cm.
For me is to strange, i'll follow your reccomendation to ask other vendors.

Thanks
