In my plant logic i found a HH and LL trip on DP of an outlet compressor XV , i think that it should be LL only

Does anybody have an explanation

Please upload a simple sketch of the XV system you described...

 

Is XV a full bore ball valve and normally open?

High pressure drop in the discharge circuit may push the compressor into surge conditions (speaking of centrifugal machines). For positive displacement types, significant overpressure might occur if the discharge is partially or fully blocked.

 

Whichever the case, high dP across the shutdown valve indicates abnormal conditions. Pressure drop across these valves should be negligible.
