How much oxygen percentage is allowed in the purge gas ( in our case usually methane or ethylene) for  flare header purging. Could not get answer to this anywhere. The datasheet specifies 0.5% in one netwrok and 1% in another. API 521 only specifies 6% oxygen 25 ft below flare tip but no information on purity of purge gas.

Allowable oxygen content in flare/purge gas is a calculated value, It is usually defined by LOC (limiting oxygen concentration). See NFPA 69 for more information and CEN/TR 15281 for oxygen monitoring technologies.
