Hi

I m trying to size an ejector with low pressure steam as motive to compress moist air from 0.40 bara to 0.48 bara.
Can you suggest a resource which can help me with this task?

Thanks very much,
Prakash

gprakashn,

If your intention is to buy a steam jet ejector then I would suggest you not to take up this exercise since ejector design still involves a lot of art then just plain engineering. There are specialist vendors who would supply you the right ejector. Some of the vendors are:

Graham Mfg. Co.
Croll Reynolds
GEA Jet Pumps
Schutte & Koerting

If this is just a plain academic exercise then I suggest you refer Ludwig's "Applied Process Design for Chemical & Petrochemical Plants" for some very good guidelines on ejector design.

Regards,
Ankur.

Hey guys when i googled steam eductor, i got ejector and injector. Then I go steam jet ejector and steam jet vacuum ejector/eductor/pump
what is the difference or is that a combination of all the ejector and pump together for both steam and vacuum? Help!
