Hello All

Before answering this question please consider me as a novice in sizing and designing. Sizing and core designing were not a part of our syllabus so its giving me a tough time now....

I have the data of the quantity of alkaline products manufactured annually in kg for which a vessel has to be designed which involves finding the volume, no.of bolts etc. The batch time of the process is 8 hrs....

I have attached the necessary excel sheet for reference

Any help would be highly appreciated. Please suggest me any reference material in this matter if possible.
Thank you

Regards

Excel sheet mentioned is not attached, please attach it to another post, so that conditions can be understood. A simplified flow diagram would be also useful, or at least the purpose of the vessel. 8 hours batch may or may not be related to the vessel capacity.
Concerning mechanical design of pressure vessels, Coulson & Richardson's 6th volume of "Chemical Engineering" (Chapter: Mechanical design of Process equipment) may be a good reference to start with. Assumingly you intend to rough sizing for capital cost estimate.
