Dear friends,

In my plant, fuel grade naphtha is unloaded from road tanker to our storage tanks. But the full quantity of naphtha never be unloaded by running unloading pump. About 10 to 15 lits. of naphtha remained in each compartment (most road tankers have 5 to 6 compartments). Generally we collect this amount in a bucket and transfer it in another road tanker manually. But this operation involves a great risk. Can any body suggests a better alternative?

Your post suggests this naptha is part of the delivery. The tanker is not your responsibility so why recover this amount?
If there is a residual amount remaining, so long as you are billed only for the naptha delivered, let this amount remain in the tanker for the supplier to worry about.
Taking risks to recover this amount is not worth it.
The reason for the residual amount is obviously due to the design of the tanker and the same amount is presumably residual in this tanker each time. If the tanker returns each time with the same residual amount in it, then it should never figure in your invoiced amounts.
Unless I am missing something here?
