Dear Friends;
I am looking for a criteria for the distance or piping volume between two block valves in double block and bleed system.
If there is any criteria or standard for this case please refer me to it.
Thanks

processeengineer1998,

The distance between two block valves in a DB&B system is very application specific and cannot be generalized. The only schematic of any kind for DB&B but without the distances I have seen is in Norsok Std P-001 the link for which is given below:

processengineer1998,

In general, it could be said that the distance between two block valves should be as short as possible. This situation results in minimum inventory in the case of bleeding. But as Ankur said, optimum distance depends on the application and relevant piping configuration.
