Good evening everyone,

Am still designing my absorber , and now am calculating the packed column height and for that i need to calculated gas phase mass transfer coefficient and the liquid one to get the overall gas phase mass transfer coefficient , from where i can get the gas and/or liquid phase mass transfer coefficient for syngas and methanol ?? are there an equations that help to get ky and kx ?? can hysys get them for me ?? if yea ,, where in hysys ?

thanks in advance ,,

Hi,

I would search into two books: Perry's Chemical Engineers' Handbook or Ludwig's Applied Process Design for Chemical Engineers.

You will find the solution in "Distillation Design" by Henry Z. Kister.
