Dear Colleagues,
I am currently working on the determination of nitrogen requirement for condensate tanks blanketing. I am using API 2000.
I would like to know what does "latitudes" mean? It is mentioned in Table 1 - Page 9 of the code?
Could you please help me
Sherif

Latitude and longitude are coordinates (expressed in angle degrees) to define the position of a definite point on earth. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latitude for a precise explanation, especially the first picture there.....I would like to know what does "latitudes" mean?....
In simple words, latitude φ means how far (in degrees) the place is from equator. For instance, all places on arctic circle have φ=66 ο 33' 39" North; all places on antarctic circle have φ=66 o 33' 39" South. So higher values of φ denote places of lower intensity of solar radiation (in kW/m2). For north pole φ=90 ο, for any plαce of equator φ=0 ο.
Besides longitude λ means how far (in degrees) the place is from the meridian passing from Greenwich, London. So for London λ~0 o. The pair of (φ, λ) specifies a specific point on earth and vice versa (spherical coordinates).
Note: also take the post No 2 into account, when you apply API 2000.
