Dear All
I am doing a retrofit study for an existing heat exchnager network. My findings suggests:
Solution 1:- Increase heat exchnager area for some the existing exchnagers.
OR
Solution 2:- Add new exchnagers.
The new area required is same for for both the solutions.
My query is whether there is fundamentally any difference in solution 1 & 2.
As I understand, increasing area of an existing exchangers (solution 1) also mean to add new exchnagers in parallel/ series to the existing exchangers. Am i correct?
If yest, then solution 1 is similar to solution 2 where also new exchanger needs to be added.
Are there any other differences in two solutions?
