what's the difference between net heating value, dry vapor ideal GHV / LHV and bulk stream ideal GHV / LHV at PRO/II?

1. are they calculated at some standard state? what's the standard state?
2. GHV / LHV means gross/low heating value, NHV means net heating value. as I know, NHV and LHV are the same. but in this case, they are different for an order of magnitude. why?
3. the unit of measure is kcal/m3. Can I change it to kcal/kg or kcal/mole? how?

how to know the calculation method of net heating value, dry vapor ideal GHV / LHV and bulk stream ideal GHV / LHV at PRO/II?

moohuo,

I do not know what PRO II defines as GHV / LHV / NHV, but it certainly cannot be differnt from the basic thermophysical definition of "Heating Value" or "Heat of Combustion". Refer the detailed thermophysical definition for the terms GHV/ LHV / NCV in the links provided below. The citizendium link is particulary good in defining the terms you are looking for:

http://en.citizendiu...t_of_combustion

http://en.wikipedia....r_heating_value

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Ankur.

Hi,
Which thermodynamic model is used (supporting to VLE or VLLE)? What option is used for decant water? It is just the calculation based on these inputs. What Ankur has replied holds true. Did you have any correspondence with Sim Sci regarding this issue?
