I am about to carry out the leak test of HDT reactor and other High Pressure systems at 70 kg pressure with Hydrogen, in newly constructed project, before start-up. The MDMT given by manufracturer is 16 deg C and MPT is 80 deg C. It is difficult to carry out the leak of system at 80 deg C with soap solution, if I have to follow the MPT.

In my earlier projects of similar kinds, I had not used MPT for leak test and leak test was carried out at ambient temperature only.

My question is wheteher I have to follow the MPT requirement or MDMT for the initial leak test ?
If MPT needs to be followed strictly, what method I have to use for detcting the leaks in the system ?

Please Guide me.
