Hi
what happen if the orifice plate direction is reverse?
measured flow is higher or lower than right orifice direct?why?
thanks

What kind of orifice plate do you have? If it is square edged orifice plate then reversing the plate direction will not change the measured flow. However, if the plate is beveled downstream and reversed you will have a higher pressure drop which translates to a higher measure flow.

Hi,
Similar thread is discussed here also. Please check the link if it helps,

amirali,
For full squared edge orifice plate it doesn't matter to be installed in either direction, but for squared orifice with bevelled edge (normally its sharp or squared edge is as upstream) if to be installed at reverse direction the relevant meter will record a lower differential pressure (mostly for gases) and will result in a lower calculated volume. I think this is wrong. The indicated flow rate will be lower than the real flow (I think).
