Hello, All
For those who are familiar with hazardous area classification as per IP15, i would like to seek for your guidance.
I understand how to calculate and get into appropriate LEVEL (Annex C part 1) for risk-based approach for HAC. However, i do not understand what is this "LEVEL" phisically means.
C1.4 state that:
- LEVEL I represent Frequency of release per leak source-yr = Greater than 1,0E-2 /release source-yr
- LEVEL II represent 1,0E-2 to 1,0E-3 /release source-yr, and so on
However, when we looked into Figure C2, at the same exposure value (let say we have LEVEL III when the ignition probability is the highest and LEVEL I when the ignition prob is the lowest.
what is this LEVEL actually represent? why higher probability of ignition at the same exposure resulted in LEVEL III instead of LEVEL I?
Thank you for the enlightment!
