Dear,

 

In VDU, we have a vacuum distillation column and vacuum package.

 

During condenser failure, steam will cause overpressure the system because it will not be condensed.

 

For protection of this case, should I need an additional PSV in drum below condenser or can PSV on vacuum column cover steam relieving through reverse flow of steam from ejector if the PSV has the adequate size?

 

that is, can the steam go from ejector steam nozzle through steam chamber and to suction nozzle if ejector discharge has a problem?

I think the PSVs on the Column it self will take care of the over pressurisation.
