I am a 4th year Chemical Engineering Student from India. I am working on a project wherein I need to carry out a gas-liquid reaction. The gas liquid mixture consists of 25% monomethylamine and 75% methanol. Here I need to keep the monomethylamine(gas) dissolved in methanol(liquid) at a temperature of 350 K - 355 K. The boliling point of methanol is however 337 K. Also monomethylamine is gas at room temperature. Thereby I need to determine the pressure at which methanol would remain in liquid and the monomethylamine gas has 20% (concentration) solubility in methanol. For this purpose I need the solubility data of monomethylamine in methanol at varying pressures and temperatures.
I would be highly obliged if anybody could come up with the data or any alternative solution.

You do not use solubility; 20% is too high a concentration.

You know that you want 20% methylamine and 80% methanol
the vapor pressure is
350°K 15.7 atm and 1.6 atm // 355°K 17.7 atm and 1.91 atm

Under the assumption of ideality (far from obvious, but will allow a crude estimate) you have
P=0.2* 17.7 + 0.8* 1.9 = 5.1 atm

using a probably more reliable equation of state ( Redlich Kwong ), I calculate, for a 25% - 75% feed that you have the desired compostion at
P= 5.2 bar (abs) and a vapor composition of about 68% amine (molar)
the vapor fraction is about 12%

I hope this helps
