Hello everyone,
I am trying to validate my measurements for our exhaust air measurements. I have bottles of pure gas (HF, HCl, PH3, etc..), which I then dilute with synthetic air, and measure the concentration with Draeger Gas Detector Tubes.
I have a problem with the HF gas measurements. The problem is that the detector tubes need at least 30% humidity in the measured gas, because otherwise they show a false result. Now, I would like to add humidity to my gas, without any other equipment (meaning without a humidifier). I tried to blow the gas over water to add some humidity, however, HF is soluble (and the concentration is very small) in the water and I get the wrong measurements again.
So my question is, is it possible to add humidity to the diluted HF gas without using any other equipment and not losing any concentration in the gaseous phase through the process?
Thank you for you answers.
Best regards,
