Dear Sir,

In one of S&T heat exchanger is facing severely corrosion issue and the licensor advised to go ahead with the material upgrade to Alloy 625 or Alloy 825 so we are planning to replace only tube bundle with this new material so please advise is there any issue if we use this new material bundle in the existing  HE?

Existing HE type: H-DEU

Shell material : SA 516 Gr. 70N + HIC

Tube Material : SA 213 T22

Service: CLPS Liquid (shell side- sour/toxic)  and 2ND stage HHPS Vapor (Tube side - Hydrogen service)

Design Pressure: Shell side 126.5 barg (12 barg operating ) And tube side 164 barg (155.41 barg operating)

Temperature: Shell side : 232 deg C Tube side: 316 deg C

Operating temperature in/out: Shell side 60/202 deg C and Tube side : 254/157 deg C

New tube bundle planned : Alloy 625 or Alloy 825

Your feedback on  this will help me to proceed further.

Thank  you,

Regards,

Sameer
