Howdy!

 

I have valve application where customer is worried about exceeding valve MAST due to plant instrument air pressure increasing and is looking for a relief device for redundancy.

 

 - Pneumatic scotch yoke actuator. Plant air is 50psig to 120psig, customer is running the valve and actuator at 50psig standard

 - Actuator may exceed valve MAST if 56psig air is used

 - Air Filter Regulator is installed in system but customer is concerned about regulator failure leading to actuator exceeding valve MAST

 - Mechanical PSV's are not accurate enough to relieve and reset in the 6psig range

 

Are there any other known alternatives? Electronic relief valves that can relieve and reset in the roughly 6psig range?
