Dear All,

We have 2 demineralized Water tanks of 2500m3 capacity each in our plant. As per venting system, we have normal vent and apart from that we have emergency blow off vent (mandatory as per local regulations) also. For the vent, the pipe is connected to CO2 Absorber, but we are not sure what has to be connected to Blow off pipe. Will it be fine to connect this blow off pipe to the overflow pipe that will be submerged in seal pot. Any help in this regards will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi ,

A sketch will save words !

An overflow pipe has been designed on purpose , no other pipe to be connected to it .

Only you ,through hazop study , MOC , report  can find out why the emergency vent has been connected to a CO2 absorber , probably to prevent contaminent to enter you water tanks .

My view
