Hi

Any one have an idea in how to write raising a number (to the power of ) in DSC language of YOKOGAWA??

(For example, “^” in 3^4 )

Regards,

If you have a code snippet, that might help. It's probably C# or VB.net. They both have a function - - System.Math.Power(number, exponent).

A very long time ago some languages did omit this function. I assumed that was fixed years ago. If it is genuinely not implemented in your DCS you can use the workaround we all used in the previous millenium.

  Result = Exp(Ln(Num)*Power)

If you cant find the function, another way would be to multiply it that number of times...

3^4 = 3 * 3 * 3 * 3
