Would like to know which qualification would be of a greater benefit for the position of refinery manager, considering that the person in this position would also be involved in some project work.
Would it be chemical or mechanical engineering. And why?
Also a recommended list of instituitions for part-time study in that field.
FET colleges are offering mechanical engineering courses , How does this qualification rank in this field.

I do not really think it makes much difference! We have had a chemical engineer as manager of the technical (maintenance) department for YEARS...

Hi there:

Check out the following URL for a list of engineering schools:
http://www.allengineeeringschools.com -- AllEngineeringSchools.com

In my opinion, a good mix of both chemical and mechanical engineering education, knowledge, skills and experience should do it.

Thanks,

Gordan
