Hello,

I was wondering if it'd be possible getting via distillation or another process nafta out of diesel, knowing for a fact that nafta is way lighter than diesel I don't see why not

I think the easiest way would be to go the Czech Republic, there Nafta and Diesel are the same.

Joking aside: The term Naphtha/Nafta is not really well defined, and can mean a variety of different mixtures of hydrocarbons, as does Diesel.

So a mixture of Naphtha and Diesel is not like a mixture of two pure components that can be separated.

Naphtha can be removed from diesel by distillation at roughly atmospheric pressure using stripping steam, or a fired reboiler, or a combination of the two.

If the amount of naphtha is relatively small compared to the amount of diesel stripping steam alone may be sufficient.

Use a process simulator to try it.
