We are dealing with a very toxic substance and are concerned about leaks happening in vents, and storage tanks.

Is there any study that modeled leaks based on various equipment?

What can be the model criteria? Any direction?

Hi,

To be frank with you I don't think this is an assignment for a student . Check with your management , they should know about the regulation and thresholds acceptable . They need to consult EPA or local environmental agencies about technologies suitable for your material .

If your product is toxic it should not be released to atmosphere ,my view . 

BTW we have no idea about your product .
