What is the criteria to put isolation valves in a rupture disk? In our amine system flash drum two rupture disks available with u/s & d/s isolation valves. But in TEG regeneration package still column one rupture disk without any isolation valve. Amine system falsh drum pressure is 7 barg and down stream pressured is 1.0 barg. In TEG still column it is 0.05 barg pressure.

Thanks.

There is no recognized criteria. I would put isolation valves at all rupture disks. Your installations are probably the result of a group vote. Not the best way to decide anything. There is always one dominate person in any group. And they get their way.
