Hi everyone,

In a process leading to Paraphenylene-diamide(PPDA), dimethylterephthalate(DMT) is reacted with glycol. the reaction between DMT and glycol at 120 oC produces methanol which we desire to strip off with ammonia flow. Thus, driving the equilibrum to the right for more production of methanol. My problem is to model the dependency of the final conversion on the ammonia flow. There are 2 streams leaving the reactor: the methanol-rich ammonia gas stream and the liquid stream with trace concentration of methanol.

i 'll appreciate also if i can get info about the solubility of methanol in glycol. at 120 oC
