This is for the veteran chemical engineering professionals out there or those with the experience. I am a "green" process engineer and I was looking for some opinions and input as to what industry and field/position; e.g. petroleum industry- separations expert(distillation, fractionation, etc.), fluid mechanics expert, or Process modeling expert, etc.; will provide the most lucrative career and also what ones may provide the most satisfying career? I would also like to know how I should go about moving up the proverbial "corporate ladder" to achieve engineering management/upper management positions down the road? I would also like to hear some "if I could do it over" stories on how to achieve the most out of a chemical engineering career. Please provide and insight and advice you can offer. I look forward to your advice and opinions and if you would feel more comfortable, please send me emails. I couldn't find a more related category here than this one. Thanks.
