Hi everyone.
I'm trying to reproduce real operations conditions of an Ethylbenze-Styrene packed column Stripper on Aspen Plus.
I've been getting good results, except the ones related to heat duty and steam flow to reboiler.
Actually, the steam mass flow measured is lower than the calculated result. I have good reasons to believe this measured variable is right (instrument calibration, heat balance in condenser, etc). I have already changed the thermodin. package in order to fit the value.
I also increased the theoritical number of stages, but after some steps, no reasonable decreasing in steam flow happened, probably because the minimum reflux is aproaching.
To give an numerical idea, the steam flow measured was 24.1 t/h and the minimum calculated steam flow lied around 25.1 t/h.
What's happening? Would it possible to achieve operation conditions with this simulation?
Thanks in advance.
