Dear all
While doing the designing for shell and heat exchanger in Waste heat boiler, we have to check the parameter(Delta P , Velocity) across the sheel and tube , for an optimization .
But to get the broad idea to design the tube and shell geometry , we do it in process while calculating Overall heat transfer unit. My worry is , we may assume the tube Specification(Inner dia, pitch length ) on baisis of general idea and as refer in tema sheet.
But how to arrive at optimization and subsequently confirm ourself that the value we have selected meet the system requirement or not
Knowing value of the flow , specific heat, (T1-T2) we can calculate heat duty by Q=M cp lmtd. Whether we equate the Q(Knowing value)=UxAxLMTD , to optimize the U so that to affirm that the selected geometry of tube and shell is in line with the heat duty

Dear Mr Art
Shake hand
Sir how are you. I concretely conceive the regard of all experts who been generous to answer my query with some associated technical knowledge.
As I already enlighten that we in a cement plant project have confined approach towards boiler and power generation side.
I apology some clerical mistake I did while putting my thread, but Iobjectively my hidden agenda and to for query was to get the brand idea with divided opinion from practical point of view. We all know that googling for any unified quiry does not give specificity , this been a strong reason to approach my quiry through this disciplined and systematic approach of comman forum .
Since we are new to WHR system and with our multiapproach stategy to enter this business been mountable reason to join this forum. Consequently this forum been a extreme panacea to solve any specific and focus quiry .
I do have a considerable coverage related to power sector but theoratically , and as you know theoretical approach does not at grass root level. Which one can expect to be accomplish by a technical experts like you and your subordinates with associated technical experts like Mr Ankur2061, Mr gvdlans, Mr smalawi
Desicively I couldn’t stop being curious to answer to tech supporter who are kind to answer me , but as I keep on travelling been a mountable reason to make a little bit late to respond.
Lastly I once again apology to my lack of professional approach towards this forum, which I would really cope and revive my strategy .
Thanks for your generosity
