Hi All,
In one of my interviews, I was asked a question for which I could not find a suitable answer yet - even not sure if it was a complete question.
Q: What will happen if a distillation column is simulated by fixing:
a - Top temperature
b - Bottom temperature
c - light and heavy component fraction in top and bottom products respectively
My probable answer was that if the distillation column coverges, it will provide the top and bottom pressures required to meet the fixed variables.
can any one please shed more light on this?
I'm sorry if I was not able to convey my question correctly, will try clarifying any thing someone wants to know.
Regards

I feel above all Reply should include 'H.E.T.P' (i.e.Height Equivalent to Theoretical Plates)
