Currently using ambient Nitrogen gas to purge portable tanks's containing residual water from hydrotest, and purging to the atmosphere for about 6 hours, I am having trouble coming up with data for how long it would take to use a different method. PPM needs to be below 100 for moisture content by the end of the drying cycle. Methods to consider: hot nitrogen to dry, air, or hot air. The overall point is to get a PPM below that point in the quickest time possible. Is there a way to quantify using these other methods by either a formula for heat transfer, or a simulation, or comparison of vapor pressures? any thoughts are appreciated.
