Hi All

thank you very much for your cooperation.

methanol steam reformer catalyst was replaced with new one and during plant start up, CH4 slip from the steam reformer is very high. above 10 % while is shall be with 3%.

there is no sulfur passed to the reformer, reformer temp is ok, steam to carbon is ok, catalyst still new, CH4 analyzer is ok.

but still I cannot find the root cause?

Appreciate your full support, recommendation, & provide me any technical documents .

Thanks to all.

check your online methane analyser it is possible while during plant startup while introducing steam to the reformer if u have not isolated the analyser some moisture may go inside and showing a false reading
